Tomorrowland introduces ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ in Barcelona

A brand-new spectacular immersive experience through the magical universe of one of the world’s most iconic festivals

Monday, 6 November 2023 - Tomorrowland is introducing ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ in the heart of Barcelona: a brand-new spectacular immersive experience through the magical universe of one of the world’s most iconic festivals, specially envisioned and designed by the internationally renowned creative team behind Tomorrowland and Xtended Reality Music Hub (formed by Blanco y Negro Music and Layers of Reality). A world of wonder, art, and cutting-edge technology make up a breathtaking cultural offer for all audiences, inviting people to embark on an unforgettable adventure and step into the different worlds and themes of the Tomorrowland Universe, from the World of the Great Tree to the Realm of Melodia and much more. ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is set to debut on December 15 at Aribau Immersive Space in Barcelona. To celebrate the worldwide launch of The Great Library of Tomorrow in Barcelona, a limited amount of early bird tickets is available as from now until November 13 at thegreatlibraryoftomorrow.com.

Designed for all audiences, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is set to become one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions, giving visitors the chance to explore a world of wonder and adventure, where the stories behind the Tomorrowland themes come to life. Throughout the years, Tomorrowland has built a legendary reputation using authentic, creative and compelling stories and themes to engage with the People of Tomorrow across the globe. The festival presents a new festival theme every year, which comes to life in a mesmerizing trailer, at the legendary Mainstage and throughout the festival grounds in Boom, Belgium. As the stories of each theme cannot be expressed fully during the festival, Tomorrowland has also started bringing to life the magical worlds and storylines of the festival in fantasy novel form and releasing the complete origin stories of its festival themes. ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ now offers a new way to step into iconic chapters in the history of Tomorrowland and explore virtual worlds like never before.

Experience the magic of Tomorrowland like never before with an incredible immersive experience and get ready to be transported into ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’. Located in the heart of Barcelona at the Aribau Immersive Space (just a few steps from Plaça Catalunya), visitors will start their 1-hour journey in more than 1.000 square meters with several digital art installations, allowing them to explore some of Tomorrowland’s key features, values and objects and get an initial glimpse at Tomorrowland’s DNA, and walking inside the other mythical realms of Tomorrowland for a unique and unprecedented collective VR metaverse experience.

‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is the result of a close collaboration between Tomorrowland and Xtended Reality Music Hub (formed by Blanco y Negro Music and Layers of Reality) for more than two years. Two companies with expertise in creating renowned music festivals, magical events, and exhibitions of immersive digital art and shows like Dalí Cybernetics, Gustav Klimt – The Immersive Experience, or Frida Kahlo – The life of an icon, among others. Blanco y Negro Music, through its new business endeavors, is taking on the role of the primary promoter of this pioneering experience in Barcelona and See Tickets, the official ticketing partner confirming its support for this innovative immersive technology. Marking a next step in building the entertainment spectrum of Tomorrowland, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ combines state-of-the-art technologies that are being used for the first time ever, taking the exhibition of immersive digital art to the next level.
