The first performances at the ‘Adscendo’ Mainstage, Eric Prydz presents HOLO and the 11-year-old DJ Michelle’s debut at Tomorrowland

Saturday, 22 July 2023 - The first day of Tomorrowland’s 17th edition has ended. A magical day full of highlights and special moments, here’s a quick look at what the People of Tomorrow got to enjoy throughout the opening day and night.

The first performances at the brand-new ‘Adscendo’ Mainstage
The 24-year-old Belgian rising drum and bass artist Andromedik made his debut on the Mainstage, marking the first drum and bass performance on Tomorrowland’s Mainstage since Netsky’s last time in 2018. More incredible performances at the brand-new ‘Adscendo’ Mainstage were brought by Amelie Lens, Anfisa Letyago, Claptone, Henri PFR, MATTN, Steve Angello, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, The Chainsmokers, Tiësto and Vini Vici.

Tucked away in the festival’s enchanting forests
The mythical and beautifully crafted CORE stage, one of Tomorrowland’s most unique stages where music and nature come together, kicked off the first day with performances by Folamour, Special Request, Chloé Caillet, Krystal Klear and more. Centered around a figure with a serene, upward gaze, the stage is a real artistic masterpiece and a temple of human expression, tucked away in the enchanting forests of Tomorrowland.

Eric Prydz presents HOLO
Swedish dance music legend Eric Prydz made his return to Tomorrowland’s packed Freedom stage with his spectacular and mind-bending HOLO performance, blessing people from all corners of the globe with his acclaimed HOLO live show. Praised as one of the most innovative visual performances in dance music and renowned for its astonishing three-dimensional visual aspects and immersive production, Prydz’s HOLO shows will unquestionably be some of the most talked about and sought-after performances of this year’s festival.

Young talents at the Rise stage
One of this year’s new stages: the Rise stage, nestled in green nature full of beautiful plants and summery vibes, giving a platform to young and aspiring DJ talents from all over the world to showcase their skills in collaboration with the Tomorrowland Academy. DJ Daan (13 years old from Belgium), DJ Michelle (11 years old from Azerbaijan), Lucca Van Damme (14 years old from Belgium) and Varoc (16 years old from Spain) all made their wonderful debut today.

Drumcode took over the Atmosphere stage
Swedish legend Adam Beyer took over the Atmosphere stage with his renowned Drumcode label, inviting artists like Joris Voorn, HI-LO, Layton Giordani and many more.

Sub Zero Project - Psychodelic
Dutch hardstyle duo Sub Zero Project took over the Youphoria stage with their Psychodelic hosting, fueled by their signature, hard and experimental sound.

Lost Frequencies & Friends
Belgian wonderkid Lost Frequencies had the chance to host his own Lost Frequencies & Friends stage at The Library, featuring sets by ACRAZE, Oliver Heldens, Netsky, Sonny Fodera and more.
