Discover the Tomorrowland 2023 ‘Adscendo’ Mainstage

An extensive creative process of almost two years and enormous in-house craftsmanship

Friday, 21 July 2023 - People of Tomorrow from all corners of the world have made it to the first day of Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium, witnessing this year’s breathtaking ‘Adscendo’ Mainstage in all its glory for the very first time ever. In typical Tomorrowland fashion and following many years of tradition, the Tomorrowland 2023 Mainstage is 100% crafted in-house at Tomorrowland, from idea to realization. From first idea sketches translated to mood boards and concept drawings to 3D-modeling and graphical assets, shaping of sculptures and manual production, the renowned creative team behind Tomorrowland has invented, drawn and brought the magical stage to life, while the Tomorrowland Atelier has created all separate elements from in-house décor and has built and installed the stage on the iconic festival grounds in De Schorre.

The 17th edition of Tomorrowland revolves around the theme ‘Adscendo’, turning De Schorre into a magical destination high on the horizon, where the People of Tomorrow will witness the rise of a magnificent tale in the history of Tomorrowland’s Great Library. Every object that contributes to the visual expression of the Mainstage is a sculpture handcrafted by a team of in-house shape modelers and artists, guided by a plethora of concept sketches and conceptual artwork from the creative team. A very complex process where every detail counts and can only be achieved by a close collaboration between different teams, involving many highly passionate people and enormous craftsmanship, directed by the creative team.
