Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike launch spectacular Planaxis residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza with Tomorrowland

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike launched their biggest Ushuaïa Ibiza production to date with an unforgettable opening night alongside Tomorrowland’s immersive Planaxis universe

- Tomorrowland and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike kicked off their highly anticipated 2026 Ushuaïa Ibiza residency last night with a spectacular opening celebration that transformed the island’s most iconic open-air venue into the magical underwater world of Planaxis. Running every Wednesday from 6 May until 30 September 2026*, the residency marks the return of one of Ibiza’s most celebrated weekly events, uniting the immersive storytelling of Tomorrowland with the explosive energy of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Inspired by The Story of Planaxis, Tomorrowland’s legendary underwater universe, the bespoke production delivered a breathtaking audiovisual experience filled with ocean-inspired scenery, mesmerising visuals, and larger-than-life stage design. Guests entering Ushuaïa Ibiza were immediately transported into a dreamlike aquatic realm where sunlight, sea breezes, and cutting-edge production merged into one unforgettable atmosphere.

The opening night featured electrifying performances from special guests Oliver Heldens, and Agents Of Time, each bringing their own unique sound to the vibrant crowd gathered from around the world. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike closed the night with a high-energy headline performance packed with their signature big room anthems, explosive drops, electro hits, and crowd-favourite remixes.

Fresh off the worldwide success of their latest single “Makina Time” together with Marlon Hoffstadt and DJ Konik, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike continue to prove their global impact both on and off the festival stage. The duo once again demonstrated why they remain one of the most influential acts in global dance music, delivering an anything-goes performance style that kept the audience moving from start to finish.

The reaction from the crowd throughout the evening confirmed that the new Planaxis concept has already become one of the standout productions of the Ibiza summer season.

Known worldwide for its dazzling stage concepts and immersive experiences, Tomorrowland has once again pushed the boundaries of live entertainment with a production designed exclusively for Ushuaïa Ibiza. Towering visuals, cinematic lighting, and spectacular special effects turned the venue into a living underwater fantasy where every detail reflected the magic of the oceans.

The residency will continue across 19 exclusive dates throughout the summer, bringing together some of the biggest names in electronic music every Wednesday night. In the coming months, fans can look forward to performances from Afrojack, ALOK, Tungevaag, Korolova, Novah, MATTN, Steve Aoki, Timmy Trumpet, Robin Schulz, Gabry Ponte, Joel Corry, HALŌ and many more.

The combination of world-class music, immersive storytelling, and Ushuaïa Ibiza’s legendary open-air atmosphere once again proved to be an unbeatable formula for international dance music fans.

Thousands of attendees from across the globe gathered for the opening night, creating an electric atmosphere from the very first beat until the final track.

With Planaxis now officially unveiled in Ibiza, Tomorrowland and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have set the tone for another unforgettable summer on the island.

The residency continues to strengthen Ushuaïa Ibiza’s reputation as one of the world’s leading destinations for electronic music and large-scale live entertainment.

As the crowd danced beneath the Balearic sky, the magic of Tomorrowland’s underwater universe came alive in spectacular fashion. The opening night delivered a perfect fusion of music, fantasy, and production on a scale rarely seen in Ibiza nightlife.
